Associate Director – Project ManagementRemote / Hybrid — Global (UK, Middle East, Asia & Africa)VIEW ▾
About the role
This is a pivotal senior leadership role at JC Virtual PMs. As Associate Director – Project Management, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary commissions across our global markets, acting as the primary client relationship owner on flagship engagements while contributing actively to business development, bid strategy and team growth. With the right mix of drive, care and accountability, this role is a clear pathway to Director level within JC Virtual PMs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle from inception through design, procurement, construction and handover across multiple concurrent commissions
- Act as senior point of accountability for project performance — programme, cost, quality, risk and stakeholder satisfaction
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary design and delivery teams across international time zones
- Drive implementation of robust project controls, reporting frameworks and governance aligned to client requirements
- Oversee BIM and Information Management in accordance with ISO 19650 and client CDE requirements using Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex and Asite
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for key clients across the UK, Middle East, Asia and Africa
- Identify, pursue and lead bid opportunities — including tender portals, framework applications and direct client pursuits
- Prepare and present high-quality proposals, expressions of interest and interview presentations
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level consultants within the JC Virtual PMs team
- Collaborate with the Managing Director on resource planning, financial management and strategic growth
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrable experience in a senior project or programme management role within a consultancy environment
- Proven track record delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion
- Experience working across international markets — particularly the UK, Middle East, Asia or Africa
- Strong working knowledge of BIM workflows, ISO 19650 and CDE platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex or Asite
- Excellent client management and stakeholder engagement skills at Executive and Director level
- Experience leading bids, proposals and work-winning activities
- Commercially minded with sound understanding of project financial management, fee forecasting and resource planning
- Proficiency in MS Project, SharePoint and wider project information management tools
- Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline
- Professional membership: APM (ChPP/RPP), RICS, CIOB, RIBA or equivalent; chartered or working towards
- Prince2, MSP, P3O or equivalent certification desirable

About the role
This is a senior leadership role at JC Virtual PMs for an accomplished Design Management professional ready to take the next step. As Associate Director – Design Management, you will lead design coordination and delivery across complex, multi-disciplinary projects for our clients globally — owning design programmes, managing design risk and ensuring information flows remain compliant and coordinated from RIBA Stage 1 through to handover. This role combines technical design leadership with client relationship management and business development, and is a clear pathway to Director level within JC Virtual PMs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead design management across multiple concurrent commissions spanning Commercial, Residential, Infrastructure, Healthcare and Public Sector projects
- Own the design programme across RIBA Stages 0–7, maintaining Design Responsibility Matrices, Information Required Schedules and Master Information Delivery Plans
- Chair and facilitate design team meetings, coordination workshops and client design reviews, driving decisions and resolving design conflicts proactively
- Review and interrogate design deliverables for compliance with Employer’s Requirements, statutory regulations and project information standards
- Coordinate interfaces between architectural, structural, MEP, civil and specialist packages, ensuring a fully integrated and clash-free design
- Oversee BIM and Information Management processes in accordance with ISO 19650, working across platforms including Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex, Asite and Revit
- Manage design risk registers and advise clients on design-related programme and cost implications
- Act as the primary design management relationship owner for key clients across the UK, Middle East, Asia and Africa
- Support business development through bid preparation, proposals and client presentations
- Mentor and develop junior design managers and design coordinators within the JC Virtual PMs team
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrable experience in a senior Design Management role within a consultancy, contractor or client-side environment
- Deep understanding of RIBA Plan of Work, Building Regulations, CDM 2015 and design procurement routes (traditional, D&B, EPC)
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary design teams across live construction projects
- Strong working knowledge of BIM workflows, ISO 19650 and CDE platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex, Asite or Revit
- Experience working across international markets — particularly the UK, Middle East, Asia or Africa
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills at Director and Board level
- Commercially aware with understanding of design fee management, scope control and change management
- Experience contributing to bids, proposals and work-winning activities
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Professional membership: RIBA, RICS, CIOB, APM or equivalent; chartered or working towards

Senior Project ManagerRemote — UK & International ProjectsVIEW ▾
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring strong project delivery experience across complex construction and refurbishment schemes, with the ability to manage programmes, lead client relationships, and drive quality outcomes across all RIBA stages.
This is a fully remote role with occasional site visits, working with clients and project teams to deliver UK and international projects (£500k – £25m), reporting to a Principal or Associate Director while taking full ownership of project delivery from inception through to handover.
We value individuals who are commercially aware, client-focused, and have a strong interest in innovation, technology, and data-led approaches that enhance project delivery and reporting.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead the delivery of multiple concurrent projects across all RIBA stages, ensuring successful outcomes aligned with client and business objectives
- Develop and maintain Project Execution Plans, programmes, risk registers, and reporting across your portfolio
- Manage programme performance, project risk, and stakeholder coordination at board level
- Chair design team and contractor progress meetings, supporting decision-making and issue resolution
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact
- Oversee procurement strategy and contract administration (JCT, NEC)
- Support the adoption of digital and data-led approaches to project delivery and reporting
- Mentor junior project managers within the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and quality

- 8+ years’ construction project management experience in consultancy or client-side roles
- MRICS, MCIOB or APM PMQ qualified (or working towards)
- Strong working knowledge of RIBA Plan of Work and CDM Regulations
- Proven experience managing project risk, programme delivery, and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confident with MS Project, Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6

About the role
You will lead design coordination across our projects, ensuring the design team delivers a buildable, compliant and coordinated information set on time. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers and specialist contractors, and report directly to the Project Manager and Client.

About the role
We’re recruiting a BIM Manager to lead information management strategy across our project portfolio. You’ll set the standard for how digital information is created, managed and delivered across all project stages in line with ISO 19650.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for each project
- Manage the CDE and ensure all team members follow correct workflows
- Coordinate federated model reviews and clash detection sessions
- Produce and maintain the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP)
- Support design teams in the production of Level of Information Need (LOIN) documents
- Oversee digital handover requirements including COBie and asset data
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ BIM management experience on live construction projects
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 Parts 1, 2 and 3
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Solibri and at least one CDE (Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint, BIM 360)
- Understanding of COBie and digital asset handover

About the role
You will act as the appointed Information Manager on our projects, overseeing the production, approval and exchange of project information in line with ISO 19650. This is a strategic role focused on process, governance and quality — not modelling.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and police the project Information Protocol
- Manage the CDE structure, workflows and access permissions
- Coordinate task team information deliverables against the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP)
- Run information quality checks and approval workflows
- Report information status and risk to the Project Manager and Client
- Support project handover and asset information delivery
What we’re looking for
- 4+ years’ experience in information management on construction or infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and the UK BIM Framework
- Experience with at least one CDE platform (Asite, Viewpoint, Aconex, BIM 360)
- Understanding of information deliverables and data drop requirements
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Document ControllerRemote — UK & International ProjectsVIEW ▾
About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Document Controller to support our project teams with the day-to-day administration of project information. You will be the first line of quality control on every document that flows through the project.
Key responsibilities
- Administer the project Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Process incoming and outgoing transmittals to schedule
- Maintain document registers, distribution matrices and revision control
- Ensure all documents comply with project naming, metadata and approval standards
- Produce weekly information status reports
- Support audits and project close-out / handover
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years’ document control experience in construction, engineering or consultancy
- Hands-on experience with at least one CDE (Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint, SharePoint, Procore)
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with document management workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Awareness of ISO 19650 information management principles is desirable
- Right to work in the UK
